With over 15 years of coaching experience, Michael Miahnahri brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to BlackEye Athletics. His journey and passion into the world of cardio kickboxing has quickly inspired him to transition from student to coach.

Michael’s coaching philosophy centers around helping individuals achieve their health and fitness goals. He takes pride in structuring workouts that start with light stretching and warm-ups, followed by punching and kicking combos, and a dynamic circuit training. His classes are designed to be inclusive, allowing participants to start at their own level and progress at their own pace, all while enjoying upbeat music that sets the tone for an energetic workout.

Michael believes in the transformative power of cardio kickboxing, highlighting its benefits as a full-body workout that enhances endurance, speed, power, and strength. He often jokes that it’s also a fantastic stress reliever—“there’s nothing quite like letting off steam by punching and kicking a bag”!

Michael’s goal is to see tangible results in our students and to foster a growing community within the class. Outside of the gym, he enjoys snow skiing and beach outings, but coaching has become his primary passion and hobby.
